Mentoring Story

This morning I have been working with one of our pupils in our learning support area, this is the lad I’ve been mentoring/working with as learning support, if you remember I spoke to you about him earlier on in the year he is a lad with a lot of issues and has ADHD, violence issues and this lad also serious issues with his language and his temper. When I first started working with him every other word was a swear word aimed at either me or the school or the other members of staff around the school even other pupils, BLANK'S attitude to me has since completely been turned around he now calls me mate instead of an explicit, he still does have the occasional outburst but they last more or so 5mins instead of 1 hour. I toughly believe that through simply blessing him and being there and not giving up on him and instead of getting angry at myself for not seeing change in BLANK instantly but instead giving it all up to god and simply praying for him and as I believe Jill Rowe spoke about loving unconditionally and being more Christ like towards people who can often challenge us we can truly move mountains and this to me is a great symbol of things to be done in this young lads life. It may seem like an pebble drop in the sea or a small rock being moved in a mountain but that tiny pebble or rock has the potential to become and tidal wave or an avalanche bigger than ever recorded on earth ! GOD IS GOOD !!
